Who couldn’t love Mrs. Nordine?! She was the nicest teacher. I was never a Math person and she always took the extra time helping me. I remember when CV got their first Apple Computer. It was like Christmas morning for her. She was so excited. Thank you Mrs. Nordine for just being you! My heart goes out to her family.

Pat and I were teaching colleagues at Mayville State University until my retirement in 2012. Pat really was the ideal work colleague always willing to accept additional responsibilities and do more than her share of the work! Her work ethic was amazing! It was obvious that Pat enjoyed teaching and connecting with the students. I have such a "rush" of fond memories of Pat and the positive attitude that was always present in Pat. Nordine kids . . . may all your memories of your mother remain in your hearts. And blessings as you celebrate her earthly life and now her eternal life. Terry Kemmer, Detroit Lakes, MN e

“ Who was your most favorite high schools teacher?” Mrs. Nordine is always my first answer! Her teaching methods were exactly what I needed and I learned so much from her. I remember she coordinated an effort for the school to collect pop tabs in order to see what a million looked like. She will be missed!

Oh where to start with our sweet, kind hearted Patty. I spent many afternoons playing at her house with Mary, always surprising Patty with the games I’d teach Mary. Jumping off beds and dressers trying not to get captured while almost breaking everything in Mary’s room. Patty was always so patient with me. As we grew older I would babysit for Patty and she would pay me way more than the average babysitter would get. I would play games with the kids while I watched the youngest kids and Patty kept telling me I had a gift for being creative with children that had needs, she eventually led me into going into special education and she cried and hugged me when I told her I was going into the program to get my degree. So many memories of her laughing at my high stung behaviors that typically got me in trouble, Patty would just chuckle behind those big glasses she always watched me from. So many other loving memories of Patty, she would always be heart broken if someone was going through a hard time and she always tried helping you find a remedy. Patty lived a legacy of love. #oneofthegreatest

I was lucky to have Mrs. Nordine as a high school teacher and again a college professor. Her laugh and smile always brightened the room.
