Roger Rath, 87, Cleveland, ND died Thursday April 4, 2024 at SMP Health- Ave Maria in Jamestown, ND.

Roger was born January 24, 1937 at the family farm home SE of Cleveland, ND, the son of John C. and Ida (Rivinius) Rath. He attended the local rural school and later graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955. 

He and Delores Stadel were married April 14, 1963 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on the family farm SE of Cleveland where they have continued to reside.

Roger enjoyed the farm life, hunting and watching old western TV shows.

Roger is survived by his wife Delores, Cleveland, ND; 4 children, Dawn (Alan) Wintermeyer, Sioux Falls, SD, Jon (Janine) Rath, Jamestown, ND, Chris (Cindy) Rath, Cummings, ND, William (Lori) Rath, Cleveland, ND; 4 grandchildren, Justin Rath, Dustine Fuher, Jordan Rath, Denae Clobes, ; 2 great grandchildren, Destiny Fuher and Brinley Clobes, and a special cousin, Rod Dewald.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Steven in 1964.

Roger was a wonderful neighbor when we lived on the farm north of him and Delores. He rescued me many times with his snowblower during the 1997 snowstorms. My sympathies are with each of you.
