Tina Farthing

Tina Marie Farthing was born on December 12, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona to Darold and Ruth (Lee) Farthing. She spent her childhood in Jamestown and attended school in both Jamestown and Valley City. 

Tina spent most of her adult life working as a Direct Support Professional for Alpha Opportunities and Easter Seals. She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Her greatest accomplishments in life were being a Mother, Grandmother, and an Aunt. 

Tina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, going to bingo, and singing karaoke. She was known to light up the room and was always the life of the party making everyone around her laugh. One of her favorite activities was decorating for each season with her children, she was always taking pride in her home. 

Tina survived by her children, Amelia (Jordan) Schock, Morgan Stoppleworth, Marissa Stoppleworth, Ethan Farthing, and James Farthing all of Jamestown, ND; her grandchildren, Eleanor Ann, Asher James, and baby Emmett on the way; her siblings Monica (Jerry) Hieb, Candace Carow, both of Jamestown, ND, Lonnie (Ashley) Farthing of Bismarck, ND, Kathy (Joel) Bechtold of Fargo, ND, Terry (Joan) Farthing of Spokane, WA, and Randy Farthing of Ellendale, ND. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two uncles, two aunts, three sisters; Athena Farthing, Leilani Farthing, and Judith Farthing, two brothers; Dave Farthing, and Ronald Farthing, her foster parents; Gloria and Victor Engler, and her good friend Crystal Church. 

Tina will be forever missed, a mother holds her children’s hands for awhile but their hearts forever.
