Obituary
Albert Dockter, 70, Jamestown, ND died early Thursday morning August 4, 2005 at the Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Albert was born September 30, 1934 at the family farm South of Streeter, ND, the son of Edward Dockter and Bertha (Kubler) Dockter. He attended the local rural school where he received his elementary education and graduated from Streeter High School in 1952.
He entered the US Army February 26, 1957 and was honorably discharged December 18, 1958 with the rank of PVT.
After the Army he worked in the Minneapolis area, MN in the mines and later moved back to Streeter where he worked in the Cream Station.
He and Marjorie Schauer were married March 4, 1962 at Napoleon, ND. In 1969 they moved to Jamestown, ND where he worked at Dodgson Appliances until 1993 when he started Al's Appliance Service, retiring in 2000. He has continued to reside in Jamestown.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, and the Eagles Club.
He is survived by his daughter Kristi (Chuck) Janzen, Jamestown, ND; 2 sons, A.J. (Tracy) Dockter, Jamestown, ND; Bryan Dockter, Denver, CO; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond Dockter, Golden, CO, and Melvin Dockter, Hopkins, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday August 8, 2005 in the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
The interment will be made at 2:00 PM in the Lutheran Cemetery at Streeter, ND.
The funeral arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: Noon to 9 Sunday August 7, 2005 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.
