Edward Tatarek

Edward H. (Eddie) Tatarek, 73, died Monday afternoon, August 29, 2005 at his home in Jamestown.

Mr. Tatarek was born January 19, 1932 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Joseph C. and Maria L. (Thimmesch) Tatarek. He attended St. John's Academy and graduated in 1951.

He was employed in the mailroom at the Jamestown Sun for over 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was somewhat homebound since his retirement, but enjoyed visiting with friends by telephone and watching television. He was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown.

Edward is survived by two sisters, Irene Miller, Jamestown; Mary Catherine (Milton), Ely, MN; and 2 brothers, Arnold (Shirley) Tatarek, Seattle, WA; and George (Janice) Tatarek, Seattle, WA; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Tatarek, Renton, WA. and Ruth ‘Tootie' Tatarek, Superior, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, James, Roman, Raymond, Frederick and 1 sister, Madeline.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND with Father John McGinnis officiating.

Interment will be made in the Calvary Cemetery in Jamestown, ND.
