Bernice Peterson

Bernice Peterson, 69, Jamestown, ND died early Tuesday morning December 13, 2005 at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND.

Bernice Mittleider was born May 26, 1936 at Tappen, ND the daughter of Theobald Mittleider and Lundina (Schlickenmayer) Mittleider. She received her elementary education in the Tappen Public School and graduated high school at Fargo, ND.

She and Melvin Peterson were married March 21, 1956 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown and he was employed by area farmers and she was a homemaker and was a local Daycare Provider. Following their retirement they have continued to reside in Jamestown.

She was a member of the St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin, Jamestown, ND, 5 children, Robin (Doug) Gumke, Jamestown, ND, Sheri (Mike) Struxness, Woodworth, ND, Wanda Reynolds, MaLinda (Bryan) Lux, Myron Peterson, all of Jamestown, ND, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister, Edmund (Edith) Mittleider, Sykeston, ND, Norma (Reinhold) Morlock, Jamestown, ND, Marvin (Paulette) Mittleider, Tappen, ND, Mike (Karen) Mittleider, Steele, ND, Christian Mittleider, Bismarck, ND, Daniel (Mary) Mittleider, Steele, ND, one sister-in-law, Sharon Mittleider, Steele, ND and a special friend Darlene Schultes of Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Friday December 16, 2005 St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Gary Ball-Killbourne.

Interment- Fischer Cemetery at Tappen, North Dakota

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM Thursday December 15, 2005 at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.
