This is Roxie her niece.Where do I begin? My mom is Patricia her youngest sister.Above all aunt Betty loved her entire family always. After she moved to North Dakota, she called my mom almost every day.Mom will miss hearing her voice so much. They always told each other each week that they loved each other. I have treasured memories of visiting my uncle aunt and cousins when I was young since I was an only child. Later on when I had married, then had 2 young boys of my own we stated in Fredricksburg for vacation.Yes aunt Betty was a widow but we included her,her kids my other aunt and cousins to meet at King's Dominion.Mom and I even rented a wheelchair and picked up grandma Kirby and took her to King's Dominion amusement park as well. She would go with us to Richmond Braves minor league baseball games in Richmond Va.How cool was it when a few of those players made it to the Atlanta Braves! Even tho she battled health issues for years, she pushed thru somehow.I admired how she was a caregiver to people for years. We had a closer bond as I was a LPN for 28 years. My youngest son always referred to her as "uncle Betty that lived in the trailer" when he was so young and it stuck. She never seemed to mind it.Am glad my sons have lots of good memories with her just like me! So sending our love to Beth,Floyd,Claude,Lena, and Butch. The world is more empty without her.See you all at the service. Pat and Roxie

Beth, Floyd and family; Ron and I were saddened to hear of Betty's passing. I hope you are able to take solace knowing that she is in heaven with Tom, her siblings, and her husband. I have only known Betty since she moved to Jamestown but have some memories. She was always such a trooper and played along with silly things we thought of, such as wearing a t-shirt with Floyd's favorite saying on it and taking pics. I remember her asking if I could show her how to clean her glass stove top, I am pretty sure she got a good chuckle watching me her clean her stove-top. She came to a F-M Redhawks baseball game with Beth and family, it was HOT and humid outside, the sweat was running down our backs and into our eyes. None of us ND folk could handle the heat so we sat in the air conditioned box office most of the time. Betty and Beth sat outside the whole game, they were just glad to be at a ballgame and basked in that heat, ughhhh aka the ND sweat-box. You will be missed Betty, rest in peace.
