Obituary

Lance Konrad, 41, Jud, ND, died Thursday morning August 3, 2006 near Jud, ND, due to an automobile accident.

Lance Konrad was born March 1, 1965 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Harvey Konrad and Mary Lou (Gumke) Konrad. He attended school in Jud, ND, and graduated from Jud High School. He attended the North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton for 1 year.

He and Pam Dockter were married March 17, 1988 at Jamestown, ND He worked for the Coke Plant for a couple of years, later working at Duratex for 4 years. In 1995 they moved back to the family farm SE of Alfred, and Lance has been driving delivery trucks for NAPA.

Lance enjoyed drag racing, burn out contests, and collecting old cars. Lance and Pam enjoyed putting together cars shows. He was always willing to help anyone with anything. He will be greatly missed by family and his many friends, and will always be remembered for his huge heart.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, Jud, ND, 4 children, Jefferey Konrad, Jud, ND, Lisa Church, Jamestown, ND, Tanya Dockter, Grand Forks, ND,
Angela (Ben) Janke, Roy, UT, 2 grandchildren, his parents, Harvey and Mary Lou Konrad, Jud, ND, and 1 sister, Dawn (Curt) Doetkott, Fargo, ND.

The funeral service wil be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday August 8, 2006 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Russ Pollock, pastor officiating.

The interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.

Prayer Service - 7:00 P.M. Monday @ the Emmanuel Lutheran Church

I knew lance from his days at DuraTech. I always liked visiting with him, as his outgoing personality and laid-back attitude were very enjoyable. I'll miss him.

Pam,Tonya,and Jeff - our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow and always. I am not sure if you remember me, but I lived across the street from you in Jamestown and Tonya and I were "Best Friends Forever" growing up....Practically inseparable. I just can't stop thinking about the accident. Lance and I grew up together and we had a lot of great times together. We put alot of miles on those 3-wheelers. Even though we drifted apart. Lance always took the time to stop and talk and find out how the family was doing and what I was up to. Lance was a good friend of mine and I surely will miss him. My thoughts go out to the family. Mary Lou & Harvey, The greif of a loss is the hardest thing you will go through. The time you shared with Lance was far to short. But this is the time to remember and celebrate his life and the times you did have with him. These are the memories that will sustain you through the rest of your life. God Bless you.
