Obituary

Colleen Neukircher, 68, Jamestown, ND died Monday evening February 26, 2007 at the Central Dakota Village in Jamestown, ND.

Colleen Thurn was born March 26, 1938 at Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Ted Thurn and Ethel (Hendrickson) Thurn. She attended school at Ypsilanti Public School and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955.

She and Aaron Neukircher were married July 28, 1956 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on the farm SE of Medina, ND where they farmed. They retired and moved to Jamestown in 1989. She entered the Central Dakota Village in 2006.

She was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Medina, where she taught Bible School and Sunday School. She was also a member of the Sunshine Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron, Jamestown, ND, 2 daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Kleven, Medina, ND, Linda (Steve Taylor) Neukircher, Fridley, MN, 1 grandson, Allen (Tara) Kleven, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Doug (Virginia) Thurn, Ellentown, FL, and Warren (Wendy) Thurn, San Clemente, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday September 8, 2007 at the Medina Cemetery in Medina, ND, with Rev. Doug Opp, officiating.

after my mother passed away in 1994, colleen adopted me as her son,i will miss her, she was always good to me,she's in good hands now as god has ended her pain,I Love you mom, you will always be in my Heart.

I remember Colleen while growing up in Ypsi and I had the opportunity to visit her at the nursing home while I was visiting my brother-in-law last fall. Our prayers and deepest condolences to her family.
