Obituary
Serena M. Schultes, 79, Jamestown, ND passed away quietly Wednesday morning October 24, 2007 at her home in Jamestown.
Serena Elhard was born May 16, 1928 on the family farm home 16 miles NW of Lehr, ND, the daughter of Joseph Elhard and Caroline (Schrum) Elhard. She received her elementary education in the local rural school near Burnstad, ND. Following graduation she went to work at the Bismarck Hospital.
She and Clarence J. Schultes were married March 3, 1949 at Napoleon, ND. They made their home on a farm 6 miles Southwest of Streeter, ND until 1981. They then moved to Jamestown where she worked as an Aid for Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center.
She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, embroidering, cooking, fishing with her family and gardening. She also enjoyed flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence, Jamestown, ND, her children,
James (Nancy) Schultes, Edgemont, SD, Melvin (Marie) Schultes, Tucson, AZ, Darlene (Gerald) Carlson, Jamestown, ND, Marilyn (Robert) Braun, Kulm, ND, Gary (Susan) Schultes, Ashley, ND, Della (James) Lee, Jamestown, ND, 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Ida Morlock, Bismarck, ND, 1 brother, Larry (Peggy) Elhard, Phoenix, AZ, 1 brother and sister-in-law, Harold (Grace) Schultes, Bullhead City, AZ. 5 sisters-in-law, Anna Elhard, Missoula, MT, Leona Ferguson, Jamestown, ND, Delores Elhard, Georgia and Pauline (Adolph) Elhard, Yakima, WA, and Elaine Elhard, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Rueben, Erwin, Melvin and Harvey Elhard.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday October 27, 2007 in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND with Dr. Gary Ball-Kilbourne, pastor officiating.
Interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
Visitation - 9-9 Friday at the Funeral Home. Prayer Ser. 7:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
