Esther Denning, 83, Fargo, ND died Tuesday morning October 7, 2008 at the Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Esther Betsch was born July 2, 1925 in Logan County 12 miles west of Gackle, ND, the daughter of Rudolph Betsch and Carolins (Kauk) Betsch. She received her elementary education at the Feska District School south of Gackle and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she worked for numerous people in the Gackle area as a hired girl.
She and Clarence Denning were married January 11, 1948 at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND. They made their home by Lehr and Fredonia where they farmed.
She is survived by her children, Ralph Denning and Donald Denning, both California; 1 sister, Anna Lippert, Ashley, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 child, 4 brothers, Reuben, Robert, Ted, Arthur and 2 sisters, Edna Gross and Viola Stark.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday October 13, 2008 at the Congregational Cemetery, 12 miles Southwest of Gackle, ND, with Rev. Timothy Blackman, officiating.
