Eva Zenker, 87, Wishek, formerly of Streeter, ND died early Tuesday morning December 9, 2008 at the Wishek Home for the Aged in Wishek, ND.

Eva Morlock was born November 9, 1921 on her parent's farm near Gackle, ND, tha daughter of Christ Morlock and Fredericka (Stockburger) Morlock. She received her elementary education at the Neudorf and Ketterling Township schools, and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Harold Zenker were married April 20, 1944 at his parent's farm near Gackle. They made their home on the farm south of Streeter until 1977, when they moved to Streeter. Following the death of her husband on July 20, 1982 she continued to live in Streeter. She worked at the Streeter School for 10 years and at the Streeter Senior Citizens for 6. She also did house keeping, helping out other people. She moved to Napoleon in 1999 and in 2005 she moved into the Wishek Home for the Aged.

She was a member of the St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND.

She is survived by her 1 son, Darold (DeLoris) Zenker, Mandan, ND; 3 daughters, Marilyn Zins, Bismarck, ND; Marcella (Gene) Horner, Wishek, ND; Marlene (Gary) Grosz, Bismarck, ND; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grand children .

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband 1 son in infancy, 1 great grand son, 1 son - in-law, Ed Zins, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday December 12, 2008 at the St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Chris Hogstad, officiating.

The interment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Streeter, ND.

Visitation - 5-9 Wednesday and 9-9 Thursday at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Gackle, ND.

Prayer Service - 7:00 PM Thursday @ the funeral home in Gackle, ND.

Praying for peace and solace for the Family. The most vivid memory I have of Eva and Harold is Thanksgiving Dinner at their home in 1963. As usual, it was a wonderful meal, but I also remember watching their tv (we didn't have one at the time) and seeing the Kennedy saga unfold. Wishing the children and their families to find peace...and hope in the fact that "We'll Meet Again". Joe & Teri Buck
