Obituary
DeAnn Elaine Helgeson, 37, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday December 23, 2008 at her home in Jamestown, ND, following her couragious battle with cancer.
DeAnn was born September 12, 1971 at Peoria, IL, the daughter of Robert Helgeson and Janice (Watland) Helgeson. In 1975 she moved with her parents to Jamestown. She attended the local public schools and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1990. She attended Jamestown College and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing.
She worked at the Jamestown Hospital as a registered nurse until 2007 when she had to quit due to ill health.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing softball, fishing and going camping.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Jeff Metz, Jamestown, ND; her son, Jordan Helgeson-Metz, Jamestown, ND; her parents, Robert and Janice Helgeson, Maddock, ND; 4 brothers, and 1 sister, Lonnie (Marianne) Helgeson, Montgomery, MN; Lorri (Don Reiter Jr.) Helgeson, Michigan, ND; Randy Helgeson, East Grand Forks, MN; Ron Helgeson, her twin brother, Dan Helgeson, both of New Prague, MN; and 8 special nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday December 29, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Rich Fitzer, officiating.
The interment will be made in the St. Olaf Church Cemetery at Minnewauken, ND.
