Freida Teske, 90, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday January 21, 2009 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.
Freida Rott was born January 27, 1918 on the family farm north of Streeter, ND, the daughter of John Rott and Katherine (Kirschenmann) Rott. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and helped on the family farm where she grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
In 1949 she moved to Jamestown, ND where she worked at the Anne Carlson School as a housekeeper for 9 years and also at the Buffalo and Jamestown motels for 20 years before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Teske, Jamestown, ND; 3 grandchildren, Karen Klostreich, Phoenix, AZ; Scott Klostreich, Golden, CO; Gregg Teske, Cheney, WA; 2 great grandchildren, Nick and Matt Klostreich, Golden, CO; 2 sisters, Emma Hill, Jamestown, ND; Emelia Schauer, Stockton, CA; and 1 brother Edwin (Elsie) Rott, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gloria; 1 brother, Richard; 4 step-sisters, 2 step-brothers, 2 half-brothers and 1 half-sister.
The funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday January 28, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor John Syvertson, officiating pastor.
The interment will be at Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND. (in the Spring)
Visitation - 9-5 Monday and 9-8 Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
