Obituary

Delores Dockter, 84, Jamestown, ND died early Wednesday morning July 29, 2009 at her home in Jamestown, ND.

Delores Stein was born November 16, 1924 at the family farm home North of Steele, ND, the daughter of August Stein and Ida (Hoffman) Stein. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and George Dockter were married January 2, 1952 at Tappen, ND. They made their home in Steele and the surrounding area until moving to Eldridge in 1967. In 1973 they moved to Jamestown and in 1974 she started work at the ND State Hospital in the laundry department. Following her retirement in 1990, she continued to reside in Jamestown.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, sewing, baking for and spending time with her children and grandchildren, going for rides around Jamestown. She especially enjoyed her cats Blackie, Mama, and Fuzzy and her dog Libby.

She is survived by 3 sons, George Jr. (Susan) Dockter, Jamestown, ND; August (Tally) Dockter, Jamestown, ND; Mike (Holly) Carrington, ND; 3 daughters, Georgia (Michael) Britzman, Montpelier, ND; Lori (Paul) Evjen, Jamestown, ND; Tammy (Jim) Sahr, Mulberry, KS; 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Louise Albrecht, Steele, ND; Mary Ann Quale, Arena, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter and son-in - law, Pamela and Lance Konrad, 2 brothers, Francis and Melvin

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday August 3, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Richard Reynolds, officiating.

The interment will be made at the Woodlawn Cemetery at Steele, ND.

Visitation: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday @ the funeral home

Prayer service: 7:00 PM Sunday @ the funeral home

Mike, Holly, and Family: I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend. Alan Baker and I talk often how we would go with Mike to his parents house on the south side of Bismarck when he was in town - they were great people! Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and even though words can't take away the pain and sorrow you are feeling,know that your parents are up there with the angels now watching over all of you.
