Hulda Konrad, 97, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday December 3, 2009 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.
Hulda Wegner was born January 12, 1912 North of Alfred, ND, the daughter of Gottfried Wegner and Pauline (Schlenker) Wegner. She received her elementary education at the local rural school, helped on the family farm and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
She and Herbert Konrad were married April 15, 1934 at Alfred, ND. They made their home on a farm 5 miles Northeast of Alfred, ND where they farmed until 1970 when they moved to Jamestown, ND. She was employed at Hi-Acres Manor where she worked in the kitchen and laundry for many years. She then did foster care in her home for many year. After the death of her husband in 1982, she continued to reside in Jamestown. She entered Ave Marie Village in 2003.
She was a member of the Assembly of God in Jamestown, ND.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Young, Jamestown, ND; 1 grandson, Dale Konrad, and 1 sister, Anna Krause, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
The funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Monday December 7, 2009 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
The interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND.
