Renae Champagne, 48, Jamestown, ND died Saturday night December 5, 2009 at her home in Jamestown, ND.
Renae Rae Oberlander was born September 19, 1961 at Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Ray Oberlander and Delores (Kroll) Oberlander. She grew up and received her education at the Medina school and graduated from Medina High School in 1979. She managed the Sta Mart Gas Station in Jamestown, ND.
She and Gerald Champagne were married June 4, 1988 at Kootenai Lodge in Big Fork, MT. They made their home in Jamestown, ND. In 1993 she went to work for Newman Signs in Jamestown and has continued to reside in Jamestown.
She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She also was a member of the ND Paint Horse Club, and the ND Quarter Horse Racing Association. She was a 4-H Leader, her hobbies were her flower gardens and she enjoyed watching her children show their horses.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald, Jamestown, ND; 2 children, Cody Champagne and Kelsey Champagne, both of Jamestown, ND; her father Ray Oberlander, Medina, ND; 2 brothers, Ron (Linda) Oberlander, Florence, MT; and Randy (Diane) Oberlander, Edmond, OK.
She was preceded in death by her mother, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
The memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday December 10, 2009 at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Tom Eckstein, officiating.
