Milford "Bus" Schrader, 95, Jamestown, ND died Friday morning January 22, 2010 at the Ave Marie Village in Jamestown, ND.
Milford Henry Schrader was born January 24, 1914 at Adrian, ND, the son of Henry W. Schrader and Beatrice (Witzig) Schrader. He attended public school and High School at Adrian and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He and Maxine Fai Crandell were married September 24, 1938 at Alice, ND. They made their home in many places while Milford worked in construction including Carson, ND; Adrain, ND; Dickey, ND; El Monte, CA; Corvallis, OR and Walla Walla, WA. In 1942, they moved to Adrain, ND where they farmed until retiring in 1997. Starting in the early 1970's they spent 29 winters in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Following the death of his wife September 25, 2009, he has continued to reside in Jamestown. He entered Ave Maria Village in December of 2009.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, ND. Buster and Maxine enjoyed traveling to many places including Alaska, Australia, Europe and Hawaii. They also enjoyed traveling with their motor home.
He is survived by his 6 children, Larry (Maria) Schrader, Jacksonville AR; Murray (Edna) Schrader, Adrian, ND; Ken (Doris) Schrader, Kimberling City, MO; Candace (Don) Podoll, Adrian, ND; Dwight (Anna) Schrader, Jamestown, ND; Julie Schrader, Sun Valley, ID; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Donald (Verna Mae) Schrader, Jamestown, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 son Ronald, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
The Memorial service will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday January 25, 2010 at the Ave Marie Village Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor David Thompson.
