Dani Geinert, 52, Gackle, ND died Sunday May 16, 2010 at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND.

Dani Geinert was born May 22, 1957 in Gackle, ND, the son of Ralph Geinert and Louise (Ziemann) Geinert. He received his elementary education at the Gackle Public School and graduated from Gackle High School in 1975. He graduated from Bismarck Junior College in 1976.

He and Lori Kalmbach were married February 9, 1979 at the United Church of Christ in Gackle, ND. They made their home in Gackle, where they owned and operated Dani's Place.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Gackle, ND. He was also a member of the Gackle Fire Department and Gackle Fire District Board, also, Gackle Community development Board, Gackle Co-op Board, Gackle Duckfest, Gackle Wildlife and the Gackle Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Geinert, Gackle, ND; 1 son, Myles (Jen) Geinert, Jamestown, ND; 1 granddaughter, Rhemmi Geinert; his mother, Louise Geinert, Wishek, ND; 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Erich M. (Cathee) Geinert, Carson, WA; Kathleen A. (Howard) Rolfe, Palermo, ND; Orrin D. (Anita) Geinert, Gurley, AZ; Craig R. (Mary) Geinert, Helena, MT; Lynea L. Geinert, St. Paul, MN; Kristee L.A. (Karl) Freadoff, Judson, ND; Wendy J. (Grant) Stieger, Argusville, ND; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Anna Kalmbach, Wishek, ND, and 1 brother-in-law, Wayne Kalmbach, Bowman, ND.

He is preceded in death by his father.

The Memorial Service will be at 4:00 PM Sunday May 23, 2010 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Tim Blackman, officiating.

There will be a Private Family burial at a later time in the Gackle Cemetery in Gackle, ND.

Lori, Myles and Family, My Deepest Sympathy to You and Your Family. I have so many memories of our time spent together when I was at the hardware store in Gackle, our many lunches together watching Days of our Lives at the round table. I wish there was something I could say to ease your pain. Dani will be so missed by so many people who's heart he touched. Cherish the memories for they will help you through your time of sorrow.

lori, i was so saddened to hear of dani's passing this morning from debbie z. he will be truly missed by all of us at the gackle ritz (my pop george, brother george, prescott, duluth dave, joe and his pop, squeaky). all of us are thinking of you and your family. be sure to lean on that growing family of yours for comfort and smiles as i know they bring you both.
