The Rev. Andrew Roehrich, 85, Hankinson, ND died Wednesday morning May 26, 2010 in the St. Gerard's Care Center in Hankinson, ND.
Andrew Roehrich was born July 29, 1924 rural Kintyre, ND, the son of Rochus Roehrich and Barbara (Goldade) Roehrich. He received his elementary education in the local Mannheim #3 School near Kintyre, ND, where he helped on the family farm. He attended High School in Strasburg, ND before going to Assumption Abbey at Richardton, ND, where he completed his High School education. He remained at the Assumption Abbey and completed 2 years of College. He then attended the Seminary at Catholic University in Washington, DC.
Andrew Roehrich was ordained a Catholic Priest on June 10, 1950. Following his ordination he served parishes in Harvey, ND; Starkweather, ND; New Rockford, ND and most recently he served at St. Mathias in Windsor, St. Anne's in Gackle, and St. Mary's in Medina. He retired in Carrington, ND, and in 2009 moved to the St. Gerard's Care Center in Hankinson, ND.
Surviving are 2 brothers, Leo (Eva) Roehrich, Napoleon, ND; Mike (Sue Nell) Roehrich, Camarillo, CA; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Sowada, St. Paul, MN; Katherine Roehrich, St. Paul, MN; Eva Keller, Moorhead, MN; Joanne (Paul) Chmielewski, Crossville, TN; 2 sisters - in - law, Gwen Roehrich, Fargo, ND and Regina Roehrich, Bismarck, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Pius, Rochus, Nicholas, Anton, and 2 sisters, Rosalia and Sr. Armella.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday June 1, 2010 in St. Mathias Catholic Church,207 Washington Ave in Windsor, ND with Most Reverend Bishop Samuel J. Aquila, presiding.
Interment will be made in the St. Pauline's Catholic Cemetery at Windsor, ND.
Visitation: 1 - 5 Monday at Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND.
Rosary Service - 6:45 PM Monday at the Church
Vigil Service will be at 7:00 PM Monday evening May 31, 2010 in St. Mathias Catholic Church in Windsor, ND
