Obituary
Alvin I. Attleson, 86, of La Crosse, WI and formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse.
Alvin was born May 28, 1924, in Lenton Township, Stutsman County, SW of Jamestown, ND, to Andrew and Ida (Fossen) Attleson. He attended the local school and grew to manhood in the area
Alvin was a veteran of the United States Army.
He and Kay Frances Whipkey were married December 12, 1952 at Moorhead, MN and she preceded him in death on May 17, 1987. He was a hardworking, devoted and loving father and grandfather.
Alvin is survived by 2 daughters, Karen (Gale) Oldenburg, La Crescent, MN; Jane (Dan) Mitley, Holmen, WI; 1 son, Wayne (Dale) Attleson, Holmen, WI; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Beverly Attleson, Jamestown, ND and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kay, his parents, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.
The funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at the Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave. Northeast, Jamestown, N.D. with Rev. Pastor Leon Zadadil, officiating.
The interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND.
Visitation 9-1 on Saturday morning at the Funeral Home
Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown, ND.
