Elsie Schlenker

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Schlenker many years ago, back in the 70's....we were Karen's students on our home from Bismarck. We had just participated in State Speech/ 1 Act Play Contest..we all trouped in and supper was waiting for us. This memory sticks out because we were quite a large bunch of kids. We also prformed a number of musicals while Ms. Schlenker was teaching at Sargent Central, her parents would come to see the plays..they were always so gracious to us kids. One year..one of the guys that had a major part wound up in the hospital with mono, Karen stepped up to the plate and took his place. Afterwards, you could see the pride (and awe) in her parent's eyes. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Schlenker. our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Kit& family
