Erma Mayer 84, Jamestown, ND died Thursday November 4, 2010 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown, ND.
Erma Fercho was born June 26, 1926 at Lehr, ND, the daughter of Albert Fercho and Lydia (Tarnasky) Fercho. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.
She and Wilbert Mayer were married June 17, 1948 north of Lehr, ND. They made their home in the Streeter-Lehr area where they farmed. In 1963 they moved to north of Medina, later moving south of Medina in 1965. In 1976 they moved to a farm in Eldridge where they raised sheep. They moved to Jamestown, ND in February of 2010.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Jamestown.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn (Dennis) Hofmann, Grace City, ND; Kathy (Wayne) Mittleider, Tappen, ND; 1 daughter-in-law Debbie Mayer, Twin Valley, MN; 7 grandchildren, Lonnie Hofmann; Theresa (Justin) Iverson; Renae Utke; Kimberly (Bob) Lundquist; Shawn (Corinne) Mayer; Tiffany (Shaun) Pringle; Patrick (Ashley) Mittleider; 10 great grandchildren, Jessica and Mason Iverson; Drew, Ethan and Bryce Utke; Christian and Courtney Lundquist; Micah Pringle; Abigail Mayer; Taryn Mittleider; Clayton Mittleider 2 brothers; Earl Fercho, Polson, MT El Ray (DeLight) Fercho, Streeter, ND, and 1 sister Marcella Kassman, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in July of 2010, 1 son David, and 1 brother, Donny
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 PM Monday November 8, 2010 in the First Assembly of God Church in Jamestown, ND, with Rev. Darrell Losing, pastor officiating.
Interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
