Clarence Jacob Schultes, 83, Jamestown, ND died Sunday morning February 27, 2011 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.
Clarence was born April 15, 1927 at Streeter, ND the son of Jacob and Magdalena (Batsch) Schultes. He attended the local rural school where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
Clarence Schultes and Serena Elhard were married March 3, 1949 at Napoleon, ND. They made their home on a farm 6 miles SW of Streeter, ND until retiring in1981. They then moved to Jamestown where he worked the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following the death of his wife in 2007 he continued to reside in Jamestown. He entered the Ave Maria Village in 2010.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Eagles Club in Jamestown, ND.
He is survived by his children, James (Nancy) Schultes, Hermosa, SD;
Melvin Schultes, Barstow, CA; Darlene (Gerald) Carlson, Jamestown, ND;
Marilyn (Robert) Braun, Kulm, ND; Gary (Susan) Schultes, Ashley, ND;
Della (James) Lee, Jamestown, ND; 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 1 brother, Harold Schultes, Bullhead City, AZ; 2 sisters, Leona Ferguson, Jamestown, ND; and Pauline (Adolph) Elhard, Yakima, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 sister, Alvina, and 1 niece, Betty.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday March 5, 2011 in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Arlyn Coalter, pastor officiating.
The interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens at Jamestown, ND, in the spring.
