Justin Nogosek, 43, Fargo, ND died Monday, August 8, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Justin was born July 24, 1968 in Rolla, ND, the son of Loyal Tompkins and Gayle (Havelick) Tompkins. He was baptized at Grace Episcopal Church in Jamestown, ND on October 13, 1968. He graduated from High School in Sauk Center, MN.

He entered the US Navy in 1987. He was discharged in 1997. He moved to Lemoore, CA for 3 years. He then lived in Fargo, ND and worked for Smuckers for 9 years. He later spent time in Thailand.

He is survived by his father, Loyal (Rhonda) Tompkins, Jamestown, ND; 1 brother Ryan Tompkins, Fargo, ND; 1 sister, Pam Boxell, Kimball, MN; 2 aunts, Carol Manning, Jamestown, ND; Laurel Dewald, Rochester, MN; Maternal grandmother, Beulah "Sully" Havelick, Jamestown, ND; 3 step sisters, Rebecca Koenig, Sharita Koenig, Miranda Martell, all of Jamestown, and 1 step brother, T.J. Nogosek, Mapleton, ND; and 1 half brother, Phillip Nogosek, Sioux Falls, SD.

He was preceded in death by his mother, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

The memorial service will be at 2:30 PM on Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Harlan Kaden, officiating.

Dear step brother had i knew this was going to happen i would of made sure i got to meet u. Even tho i didn't know u i will still miss u but i will see u some day plz watch over me and everyone else in the family. Let u rest in peace

Son-we went to Brainerd for the races this past weekend. Missed your company. Dad and I talked about you and the fun times we had with you. Those memories will live with us through our racing years. But we know that you left us for a better home in heaven, we are looking forward to that great reunion with you some day. We Love You!

Justin-I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I missed you over the years and wonder how you were doing. I still have the videos and pictures of how much fun we had together. I fondly remember the weekends of golf and how you made these wonderful sandwiches for our picnics after a day of golf. What fun that was. I also remember the time it rained while we played golf and I caught the flu and how you nursed me back to help for 5 days and never left my side. Now you are not among us. You are in a better place. No longer are you bothered by sad thoughts. I am just glad to know that you are safe and at peace. I will never forget you. Love Always, G
