Katherine ‘Katie' Roehr, 92, Jamestown, ND died July 29, 2011 in Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown, ND.
Katie was born December 28, 1918 at Pettibone, ND the daughter of John Reuther and Caroline (Bollinger) Reuther. She received her elementary education in Pettibone.
She and Carl (Ole) Roehr were married June 17, 1944 at Kulm, ND. They made their home on a farm SE of Gackle, ND. In 1948 they moved to a farm 8 miles North of Gackle and in 1959 they purchased the Otto Nitschke farm 3 miles east of Alfred. Following the death of her husband on September 7, 1979 she moved into Gackle. In 2004 she entered the Gackle Care Center and in 2009 she entered Hi-Acres Manor at Jamestown, ND.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle Senior Citizens and she loved to play Pinochle.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Dolores (Clifford) Klundt, Gackle, ND; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond (Maria) Roehr, Pasadena, Texas; 6 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Gerald, three brothers and five sisters.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday August 5, 2011 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Linda Schauer, pastor officiating.
Interment will be made in the Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, ND
Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes in Gackle, ND.
