Linda L. Bjone, 57, Jamestown, ND died peacefully on Wednesday August 24, 2011 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Linda Podoll was born March 18, 1954 at Jamestown, ND. She attended schools in the Alfred, Jud and Gackle area.

Linda married Russ Bjone September 3, 1989 in Jamestown where they made their home. She worked for the North Dakota State Hospital for over 35 years and was instrumental in developing the IVN program, where she recently retired and then became manager of the Cenex station in Jamestown.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who could never do enough for her family and friends. Linda touched many people's lives and is continuing that even through death through her participation in Life Source, an organization devoted to help those in need of donor organs and tissues.

Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and made activities with her family and friends, liked hunting and fishing.

Linda is survived by her husband, Russ; 2 daughters, Amy (Rick) Widicker, Bismarck, ND; Tania Bjone, Jamestown, ND; 2 grandchildren, Tia and Caden Widicker; her mother, Annetta Podoll, Jamestown, ND; 1 sister, Connie (Neil) Suko, Jud, ND; 1 brother Dwight (Kathy) Podoll, Snohomish, WA, and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members, along with her puppies, Chloe and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold.

The Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 30, 2011 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Harlan Kaden, officiating.

Prayer Service: 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.

My sincere sympathy to Russ and family. I am so saddened to hear the news of Linda's passing. She was such a wonderful, fun loving person. I worked with Linda at the State Hospital many years ago when she ran the Nursing Office. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Oh how our heart aches for all of you! Steve, Kara, and I are saddened by the news of Linda's death. Steve & I immediately had flash backs of "The Jetstream Jets" days and the fun we had together.
