Eugene George Wilmart, 80, Ypsilanti, ND died Tuesday October 11, 2011 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.
Eugene Wilmart was born May 26, 1931 at Jamestown, ND the son of George Wilmart and Elma (Mohn) Wilmart. He received his education at Ypsilanti School, and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He entered the US Army October 21, 1952. He served with the heavey Mortar Company 5th Infantry Regiment at Ft. Lewis WA, and was awarded the National Defence Service Medal. He was honorably discharged December 12, 1955 with the rank of PFC.
He returned to North Dakota and farmed in the Ypsilanti area for most of his life.
He and Bardella Plath were married May 2, 1991 at Jamestown, ND, and they continued to reside in Ypsilanti.
He is survived by his devoted wife Bardella Wilmart, Ypsilanti, ND; 1 son, Edwin George Wilmart, Lowell, IN; 1 stepson, Paul Plath, Ypsilanti, ND; 1 sister, Leola Ringuette, Ypsilanti, ND; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Michael Eugene Wilmart; 2 daughters, Melody Ann Wilmart; Amy Jeanne Wilmart and 1 sister, Kathleen Hanson.

Interment - St. Hubert's Catholic Cemetery in Montpelier, ND
