Dear Family & Friends of Alma Schott: We treasure our memories of times spent with Alma Schott. We feel greatly blessed by the contact we had with her during various family, friend, & community gatherings. She made cakes for a number of events we attended including Laura and Elroy Schlenker's 50th wedding anniversary in 2003. It was a pleasure for Sandra to have been able to use Alma's talents as a resource during the years that Sandra was teaching home economics in Gackle. Prayers for comfort for the family and friends.

To the Alma Schott family; Although I don't know any of the immediate family members of Alma Schott, I knew Alma really well and talked to her a year ago this June in Gackle. She seemed in fine health then, and I didn't know she was 88 then! We lived in Gackle from 1967-83. My husband, Alex, taught school there and was also the high school principal, in in addition to being a busy carpenter there. When we lived there, I often visited with Alma in Remboldt's Clothing Store, and she did some baking for me when some of our seven children graduated from high school there. She was a wonderful cook, and I especially remember her carameled rolls! Our daughter, Patty (Schlegel)Boraas, now from Key West, insisted we had to walk around the town when we were there and Alma came out of her house to visit with us. She did mention where her children lived, etc. We also visited the school (went into Alex's former principal's office), the pool and looked at our house that Alex built, which is directly across the street from the pool/school. We, of course, know Linda and Jeff Schott really well, as I babysat for them and Alex had Jeff help him on carpentry jobs. We really miss Gackle to this day. The people were so great to us there, including Alma. We extend our sympathy to the family. Jean and Alex Schlegel

So sorry to hear of Alma's passing. My mother (Marian Steen) shared a room with Alma at Eventide when Alma was recuperating from her car accident. We all enjoyed Alma very much when visiting, and Mom really enjoyed her company. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Alma's family.

I am so sorry to hear about losing Alma.I did not know about it until I read the internet. SShe was a wonderful lady. She could cook and bake anything. Linda and Wallace take care of yourselves and each other. She was truly a gem of a person.
