Elizabeth "Lizzy" Dockter, 99, Streeter, ND died Wednesday night November 7, 2012 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran care Center in Bismarck, ND.

Elizabeth Kubler was born March 18, 1913 on the family farm near Streeter, ND, the daughter of John Kubler and Eva (Geinger) Kubler. She was 1 of 13 children. Elizabeth was baptized by Pastor Nagel on March 21, 1914. She attended school at the Germania Township District through the 8th grade and helped on the family farm.

Lizzy and Jacob J. Dockter were married November 12, 1936 by Johannes Grill at his parent's farm SE of Streeter, ND. They received 4 horses and a plow from his parents, and 6 cow, 1 pig and some chickens from her family as wedding gifts. They made their home on a farm 5 miles SE of Streeter. This was where they raised 5 children and worked until 1971 when they retired from farming and moved into the Kubler house in Streeter. During their retirement they enjoyed traveling to visit family in Alaska, Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, California, Virginia, Wyoming and many other interesting places. After the death of her husband in 2004 she continued residing in Streeter until moving to the Gackle Care Center in 2008.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran church in Streeter, the German Ladies Aid Society, WELCA, and a member of the Streeter Senior Citizens.

She is survived by 2 sons, Leroy (Karen) Dockter, Laramie, WY; Kenneth (Rosalyn) Dockter, Gackle, ND; 3 daughters, Irene (Russell) Powers, Burke, VA; Arlene (Frank) Levy, Littleton, CO; Esther Fandrich, Bismarck, ND; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter, and 1 sister, Esther (Arnold) Hoffer, Williston, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers; 9 sisters; 1 great granddaughter in infancy and 1 son-in-law, Dustin Fandrich.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the St. Luke Lutheran church in Streeter with Rev. Zach Bey, officiating.

The interment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Streeter, ND.

Visitation: 9-7 Monday November 12, at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Gackle, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 pm Monday at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Gackle, ND

I love Aunt Lizzy and will miss her very much. God's been saving a place for her in Heaven for a long long time. She almost made it to 100!, and always in such good spirits! She raised such great kids that she was fortunate to get to share so much of her life with. I always loved watching her and my Dad (her little brother) interact. I feel so lucky to have known her in my first 50 years, and to have been part of her family. I'm especially greatful that my wife Jayne and our kids Jacob and Noah got to know her as well as they did. Lizzy definitely lived a life worth celebrating. With Love, Charley Kubler & Family

Dockter family. Thinking of all of you,I know you all were close to your mom, she was always fun to visit with when I stopped at Gackle or when she came to Wishek for medical care, cherish her memory always, we were lucky to have our moms so many years and it makes it hard to say goodbye God bless

So sorry to hear of the passing of Lizzie. My condolences to the family. I'm sure my Mom, Esther, and Lizzy will have lots to catch up on when they are visiting in heaven.

Oh, Esther...I just heard that your Mother passed. I am so sorry and know how much your Mom meant to you and how much you meant to your Mom. We received The Napolean Homestead today and read the obituary for Elizabeth "Lizzy". How sorry I am that she passed away. I was hoping she would celebrate her 100th birthday in March. I so enjoyed when she called me on the phone. It made my day.
