I always looked forward to seeing Forrest and Janet when it was my turn to do Meals-on-Wheels and made my best effort to get their route. They were so kind and appreciative. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

George, So sorry for your loss of your wonderful mother.

Happy Mothers Day, Mom! It's been 4 months now since you left us and I think about you every single day! I guess I wasn't ready for you to go, probably never will be. You were always so good to me. Such a good mother! Your funeral was beautiful. The many displays contained pictures, letters, and personal effects that spanned 93 years. After submitting your obituary, I later learned of all the things I had left off - teaching in Adrian, teaching in Rochester, and biological instructing for the University of Wisconsin, the University of Minnesota, and the National Audubon Camp in Maine. All during the 1940's - you were just as busy as dad! Dad was never the same after your funeral. Within a week the nursing home was calling and depite our best efforts, he had decided it was time and passed just 30 days after you. So we have been busy. Your house sits just as you left it, and it's hard to go inside, without you there. It will take time. This Friday we will honor your lifelong wishes and take you to Blue Earth, where you can once again be with your mom and dad. I wish you would be closer to us, but promise you that we will visit your grave - whenever we can! You were the best mother! Today was really hard! I love you! George

So sorry to read about the loss of Janet. I have many fond memories of her family trips to Minnesota!
