I lived on the farm southeast of the Salzsieder homestead. Lyle and my brother, Norman, were good friends. The workshop building on the Salzsieder farm now was the Willowbank rural schoolhouse. The building was located east of the farm I grew up on. Anyway, I attended rural school there for 7 years. It was nice to have the Salzsieder family as neighbors. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. I know my parents enjoyed visits with Lyle and Joan after I left the Edgeley area. My husband, Hilbert, was from Napoleon and taught math. He his been retired from Wayne State College for 13 years. We had 2 sons, Blaine and Jason.
