So sorry for your loss but Chuck's spirit is finally free. I went to see him in Mandan about a month ago and I think he knew me as he nodded his head when I talked to him about Underwood and some of the things we did while he was there. I was so sad that he had to move as that had become his home and the staff new him so well. Enjoyed the picture in the obit. I will have a mass said for him by Father Frank Schuster at my church here in Underwood.

Leaving troutmans grove late one , 35 years ago, with Marvin driving his grandmas car on some gravel road way to fast and full of keg beer....we rolled. It was like slow motion...I couldn't figure out what happened as we were sitting on the inside roof of the car....(no seat belts of course.....that wouldn't have been cool) I calmly asked Marvin (Boe) what happened? He replied, "we rolled the car". I freaked....shreaking and crying and screaming and feeling trapped...not knowing which direction might possibly be the way out. Hysterical and completely dumbfounded....and scared. Chuck Blinsky somehow got us out of the car and to Jamestown Hospital. As I was being examined....Marvin telephoned my mom and told her what happened. Then it was her turn. She said, "Marvin....I am on my way down to the hospital and I am going to kill you. Don't you leave because I am on my way...and I am going to kill you as soon as I get there!". "I have one kid in a wheelchair and I'm not going to have another one suffer like that, so you better stay put I am on my way!," and promptly hung up. And you know what? He stayed. Chuck was a hero that night. I'll never forget him.
