Dolores Kalaher, 86, Jamestown, ND died Thursday June 13, 2013 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.
Dolores Wheeler was born May 14, 1929 in Jamestown, ND, the child of Arthur and Mildred (Heille) Wheeler. She graduated for Jamestown High School in 1947 and moved to Denver, CO in 1950. She worked at the National Jewish Medical Center. She married and raised her children in Denver where she lived for 50 years. She established a day care home which served the children of the Washington Park neighborhood for more than 34 years. She assisted local parents in their child raising and was well regarded by many parents and children. She was one of the founding mothers of the Denver Child Care Association.
She returned to Jamestown in 2000 to help care for her mother with her sister.
She is survived by 2 sons, Steven Kalaher and Michael Kalaher, both of Colorado; 1 sister, Jean Nording, Jamestown, ND; and 1 aunt, Ferne Finch, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Timothy.
There will be no services.
