Caroline White, 87, Jamestown, ND died Monday evening October 28, 2013 at the Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor.

Caroline Reiner was born June 15, 1926 at Hutchinson, MN, the daughter of Charles and Fern (Rahier) Reiner. She attended school and graduated high school in 1944. She attended St. Johns School of Nursing in Fargo and graduated in 1947.

She and Lloyd Krueger were married in October of 1947. They made their home in Fargo, also California, and then moved to Gackle. They later moved to the Bird Lake Farm near Tappen where she worked as a Red Cross Nurse and also a county nurse, assisting ill people in the area. Following the death of her husband in 1960, she continued to reside on the farm.

She and Gene White were married June 1, 1963 in the Tappen Lutheran Church and lived on the farm. In 1972 she went to work at the Golden Manor in Steele as nurse's supervisor. In 1984 she went to work at the ND State Hospital as a nursing supervisor. The moved to Jamestown in 1986 and she retired in 1996, continuing to live in Jamestown. She entered Eventide at Hi-Acres September 13, 2013.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Home Makers, Lutheran Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.

She is survived by her husband, Gene, Jamestown, ND; 5 children, Donald (Garnet) Krueger, Jamestown, ND; Jackie (Jon) Henderson, Bismarck, ND; JoAnn Krueger, Bismarck, ND; LeRoy (Kelly) Krueger, Steele, ND; James (Brenda) White, Garrison, TX; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters, Kate Rannow, Silver Lake, MN; Ray (Lois) Reiner, ‘Caroline's twin', Hutchinson, MN; and Melva Needhan, Spencer, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, Jason White and 1 brother, Sylvester.

Funeral service - 11:00 A.M. Friday November 1, 2013 in the Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
Prayer Service - 7:00 PM
Visitation 9-8 Thursday at the funeral home

Interment - Fairview Cemetery at Robinson, ND

Gene and family, sorry to hear about the passing of carol. I was surprised the last time I seen her she seemed to be doing pretty good. I worked with carol and the golden manor in steele. always enjoyed working with her she was one of the best nurses we had. She was a good lady enjoyed working with her and being able to have known her. She will be missed by all who knew her. May you remember the good memories and hope all goes well for you. I'm so sorry to hear about Aunt Caroline. I know you will feel her loss very deeply. I also wish the Bloomington contingent could make it up there to be with you all. I have been running through memories of Carol and your family the past couple days. Holiday dinners with all the Moms in the kitchen wearing aprons, Dads hanging out in the living room, and us cousins running around outside, or upstairs playing games. (remember mousetrap?) They are all good and they help fill the hollow feeling that is left when someone we love passes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Renee and Bob
