Martha Kemmet

Martha J. Kemmet 79, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday January 14, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Martha Hruby was born July 9, 1934 at Wilton, ND the daughter of John Hruby and Ksanka (Polonsky) Hruby. She received her elementary education in the local school graduating from the Wilton High School in 1952. She then attended St. Alexius School of Nursing graduating in 1955 as a Registered Nurse.

She and Gerald Kemmet were married July 2, 1956 in Wilton, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where she was employed at the ND State Hospital until her retirement in 1996 completing 26 ½ years of service. In 1998, she went to work at Bethel Four Acres Basic Care for 12 years retiring a second time in 2010. She was recognized by the Board of Nursing for 50+ years of a licensure.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald, Jamestown, ND, her children, Sandra (James) Anderson, Kirkland, WA, Brian (Candi) Kemmet, Spicer, MN; Craig (Melody) Kemmet, Jamestown, ND, Kevin Kemmet, Mandan, ND; 6 grandchildren, Danielle, McKenzie, Sara, Samantha, Destinee, Remington, and Cody.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral Service - 10:30 AM Saturday January 18, 2014 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Kristi Weber, officiating

Interment - Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND (spring)

Visitation - 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Friday @ the funeral hom
