Phillip Mayer

I remember Phil coming home with a half gallon ice cream under each arm and all of us jumping and trying to reach it. You fixed my bike when I was 10. You did your best to keep our lives stable. I never forgot all you did for my brothers and me. You treated us no differently than your own kids. I wish you had been happier after you returned from Vietnam. You were very changed and I wanted you to be happy and laugh and play with all of us again. I still have the material you brought me from Vietnam. You said you got blue to match my eyes. God bless.
