Arleen Wiest

Arleen Wiest, 81, Jamestown, ND died Friday evening August 1, 2014 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Arleen Dorr was born June 26, 1933 on the family farm near Gackle, ND, the daughter of Charles Dorr and Lydia (Krieger) Dorr. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she worked on the family farm.

She and Lester Naatus were married in May of 1952. They lived in California and North Carolina until 1954 when his Army tour ended. They moved to Jamestown where she worked for various retail stores from 1965 to 1977. She received her GED in 1971.

She and LeRoy Wiest were married in December of 1979. She was employed at Lucas Aerospace from September of 1977 to February of 1991. In June of 1991 she moved to Fargo and was employed as a Home Health Aid for Cass County, MeritCare Home Care and Private Parties until May of 2002. She entered the Ave Marie Village in January of 2011.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Kylmanen, Pamela (Darcy) Harr, all of Jamestown, ND; Mark Naatus, Tucson, AZ; Neil Naatus, Portland, OR; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Brian and Todd, 1 step grandchild and 1 sister.

Funeral Service - 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 5, 2014 at the Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND, with Rev. Jeff Wiedenmeyer, officiating

Interment - Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND

Visitation - 1 Hour before the Service @ the funeral home
