Marsha Schauer

Marsha Schauer, 79, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday afternoon January 6, 2015 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Marsha Wood was born February 17, 1935 at White SD, the daughter of Leonard Wood and Bertha (Ruehl) Wood. She received her education at the area school and graduated from White high school in 1953. She moved to CA and was a Civil Service Employee.

She and Vernon W. Schauer were married May 6, 1956 at White SD. They made their home in Bismarck, ND where she worked at Welch Plumbing and Heating. In 1976 they moved to Jamestown, ND and she worked at Country Boy Dairy-Division of Cass Clay. She retired in 1997 and they have continued to reside in Jamestown.

She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She was also a member of the Dorcas Circle. She was active in the Christians Women's organization.She enjoyed attending her annual class reunions and reminiscing on stories with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and every spring she would plant close to 500 flowers making her yard a little heaven on earth. The love of her life where her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon ‘Rusty' Schauer, Jamestown, ND; 1 son, Kirk (Marcia) Schauer, Bismarck, ND and 2 grandchildren, Karissa Schauer and Austin Schauer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Nida Lee.

Visitation - 6-8 Thursday January 8, 2015 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown

Burial - Fairfield Cemetery in White, SD (spring)
