Dr. Wayne Schlenker 71, Edgeley, ND died Sunday March 6, 2022 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.
Wayne Schlenker was born October 19, 1950 at Jamestown, ND the son of Reuben Schlenker and Ruby (Pfeifle) Schlenker. He received his elementary education in the Jud graduating from the Jud High School in 1968. He then attended NDSU, Valley City State College, and Union College in Lincoln, NE before moving to Loma Linda, CA where he attended Medical School. He married Myrna Swayze and they made their home in Riverside, CA where he practiced medicine. In the late 90’s Wayne returned to North Dakota where he followed his true passion in life, farming which he has continued to do.
He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamestown, ND.
Surviving are his brother Calvin (Cheryle) Schlenker, Jud, ND, niece Janel Ruby, Fargo, ND; nephew, Kyle (Jill) Schlenker, Doyon, ND; great nieces Kadee and Jenna Schlenker and Bethany Ruby; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday March 14, 2022 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Peter J. Simpson, officiating.
Visitation – 1-5 Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in the Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND (Spring)
