Obituary

Wayne Thomas Neaveill died suddenly on February 17, 2025, at his apartment in Jamestown at the age of 62. Wayne was born Thursday, September 6, 1962 to Norlin Neaveill and Nancy Neaveill (Cantral) Willis in Ayer, Massachusetts, later moving to LaSalle Peru, IL; Ozark, AR; Moline, IL; residing lastly in Jamestown, ND. 

Wayne worked at Hugo’s store known as the “cart guy!” He grew up with two siblings, Joanne Michelle (Carl) Lampkin and Paul Douglas (Susan) Neaveill. Paul preceded him in death January 19, 2025. He also has a step-father Gerald Willis; three nieces, LaKesha, Keonna, and Hannah, four nephews, Yaphett Jr., Darious, Kelann and Nathan, and multiple great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather, John Cantral, who loved him dearly, grandmother Lucy Cantral, and paternal grandparents Charles and Marie Neaveill, Aunt Judy Hartmann and Uncle Marvin Hartmann, and Uncle DeWayne Neaveill and Uncle John Cantral, along with his brother, Paul.

A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, 6:30pm, Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave NE, Jamestown, ND. Pastor Bob Boyar of the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, will preside.

He was such a wonderful "cart guy" at Hugo's. He'd always say "God Bless" when I'd be walking in or out of Hugo's while he was pushing the carts inside.
