Obituary

Walter Morlock, 91, Gackle, ND died early Thursday morning March 29, 2018 at his home near Gackle.

Walter was born November 5, 1926 at Gackle, ND, in Neudorf Township, the son of John Morlock and Elizabeth (Moos) Morlock. He attended the local school in Neudorf Township.

He and LaVern Fraedrick were married on June 19, 1949. They made their home on a farm south of Gackle where they planted grain and raised cattle. In 1974 they built a new home on the farm where they have continued to reside. He and LaVern enjoyed road trips and country drives. He cherished his time with family and friends.

He is a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND, which he helped construction of the building. He was a member of the Stockman’s Assoc., Walter had a love for animals, dogs, cats and his pet Steer. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing and the marble game ‘Aggravation’.

Surviving are his wife LaVern, Gackle, his children, Cheryl (Marvin) Presler, Rosemount, MN, Gloria (Alan) Netz and Larry (Deborah) Morlock, all of Jamestown, ND, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leonard, Gottlieb E, sisters, Elma McCue and Flora Schlenker.

Funeral Service will be a 2:00 PM Monday in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Rick Steele, pastor officiating.

Interment will be made in the Gackle City Cemetery, Gackle, ND.

I will always think of Walter & Laverne..playing aggrevation with My Mom & Dad...Don't tell me the men didn't cheat...ha ha...Think of it as a celebration of his life. He had a long life and I know you all will miss him....Time will heal and you will always have his memories.
