Ruben Tarnasky

Ruben Tarnasky, 99, Fargo, ND  passed away Friday May 10, 2024 at the Meadows in Fargo, ND.

Ruben was born February 27, 1925. 8 miles north of Lehr, ND the son Michael and Mathilda (Kramlich) Tarnasky. He attended a country school northwest of Lehr.

Ruben and Bertha Morlock were married October 7, 1945 in Streeter, ND. . He farmed in Streeter and Eldridge, ND, and then moved to Gackle, ND where he worked for Heier Implement. In 1995, he retired to take care of his sick wife until her death in 2003. In February 2009, he moved to Good Samaritan Society in Fargo, ND.  There, he loved to play bean bag and made lots of friends with the residents.

He entered the Meadows in Fargo in January 2022.

Ruben was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Judy Jacobson, Fargo, ND, Janice Ellingson, Wahpeton, ND, Betty (Gary), Mesa, AZ, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 grandson, brothers, Walter, Marvin, Elmer and sisters, Esther and Idella
