Rosie Bohn, 83, Medina, ND died Monday afternoon November 7, 2011 in Jamestown, ND.

Rosie Martel was born September 16, 1928 on a farm south of Medina, ND, the daughter of Ernest C. Martel and Mary (Hins) Martel. She received her elementary education and helped on the family farm. She worked for farmers and helped the ladies cook for the thrashers. She also worked for 2 different cafés in town and also a gas station.

She and Frank N. Bohn were married June 24, 1950 at Medina, ND. They made their home in Medina where she opened Rosie's Attic. Following the death of her husband on October 5, 1994, she continued to reside in Medina.

She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Medina. She taught Catechism for 15 years. She was also a den mother when 3 of her sons were in Cub Scouts.

Rosie Enjoyed crocheting and making quilts and she gave a lot of them away. She liked hunting and fishing and driving around on Sundays to look for round rocks so she could make flower gardens out of them. Her joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 sons, Rickie Bohn, Woodworth, ND; Dean Bohn, Mandan, ND; Kendall Bohn, St. Paul, MN; 1 daughter, Nikki Bohn, Medina, ND; 3 grandchildren, Christopher (Gena), Michael (Jennifer) and Shania; 1 great grandchild, Xavior and 1 great grandchild on the way; 2 brothers, Richard Martel, Bismarck, ND; Marvin (Donna) Martel, Bismarck, ND; 5 sisters, Jacqualine Hoffmann, Medina, ND; Delores Mittleider, Bismarck, ND; Dorothy Mahoney, Bismarck, ND; Linda (Dean) Jose, Bismarck, ND; Ruth Loechel, Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 brother, Harold.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday November 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Medina, ND with Father Al Bitz officiating.

The interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Medina, ND.
