Marvin James Schauer, 73, Jamestown, ND died Monday June 3, 2019 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.
Marvin was born August 15, 1945 at Streeter, ND, the son of Walter and Maria (Jundt) Schauer. He received his elementary education in the Streeter Public School and grew to manhood on the farm NW of Streeter.
He and Violet Kleinknecht were married March 21, 1964 at Streeter. They made their home in Jamestown where he worked for the railroad until starting MDS Construction. He retired in 2019.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Jamestown.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Violet, Jamestown; his children, Donna (Dwight) Herman, Bonnie (Corey) Staloch, Connie (Robin) Harrington, and Danny Schauer, all of Jamestown, ND; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Stanley (June) Schauer, Fessenden, ND; 4 sisters, Lilla Mae Feigert, Oley (Jim) Krenz, Delphine (Gilbert) Benson, all of Jamestown, ND, Patsy Anderson, Beresford, SD; and 1 brother-in -law, John Black, Prairie Grove, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson, 3 brothers, Kenny, Milo and Garry; also 5 sisters, Bardella, Darlene, Jeanette, Inez and Ruth.
