Marion ‘Mac’ McPherson, 86, Jamestown, ND died Saturday, March 25, 2023 at SMP Health- Ave Maria in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Mac was born May 6, 1936 at Woodworth, ND, the son of Eugene and Edna (Graves) McPherson.  He attended school in Jamestown graduating in 1954 from Jamestown High School, while receiving many awards in football and baseball.

He and Betty Job were married September 13, 1954 in Moorhead, MN. They made their home in Jamestown, ND.  Mac began his career as the Advertising Manager at the Jamestown Sun until 1970 when he became VP of Sales at Dakota Bake-n-Serve until 1976. He then started Glenmac Inc in 1976 and then added Cherrington Beachcleaners in 2002 where he worked until his retirement in 2017.

Mac & Betty enjoyed the extensive travel involved with the business with Mac visiting over 30 countries.

Mac is survived by his wife, Betty of Jamestown, ND; children, Mike (Susan) Jamestown, ND, Mitch (Ann) Mandan, ND, Cyndi McPherson (Ken DeBoer) Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Cheryl) Jamestown, ND; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Angie Riffel; and siblings, Paul McPherson & Patricia McPherson Hoeckle.
