Obituary

Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Thu, 62, Jamestown, ND died early Thursday morning April 26, 2018 at his home in Jamestown, ND.

Kenny Thu was born February 22, 1956 at Jamestown, ND the son of Robert Thu and Hazel (Swanson) Thu. He received his elementary education in the local school graduating from the Jamestown High School in 1974. He worked for Jetstream, Tom’s Standard and A-B Standard. He worked for 11 years at Dakota Bake and Serve in Jamestown, ND. He managed the Champion Auto Parts Store. He also worked for UBC/Pro Build in Jamestown.

Kenny was a big NASCAR Fan and loved driving Demolition Derby.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel, Jamestown, ND; brothers and sisters, Gerald (Joann) Thu, Deborah (William) Lenz, Robert Jr. (Vicki) Thu, Donna (Mark) Hartman, all of Jamestown, ND; Kevin Thu, Wahpeton, ND; Mary Ann Hopkins, Jamestown, ND; special family, Dora Lachenmeier, her 2 daughters, Melissa (Charley) Sullivan, their daughter, Brielle Sullivan; Michelle Simmers and her children, Brittney and Blayke; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2017.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday April 30, 2018 in the New Hope Free Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Steve Berntson, pastor officiating

Interment - Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND

Visitation- 1-8 Sunday at the Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND

Prayer Service- 7:00 PM Sunday at the Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND
