Obituary

Judy R. Yetterboe, a cherished member of her community, left this world suddenly on October 2, 2025, at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Born on August 30, 1951, in Oakes, North Dakota, Judy lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Judy was a long-time employee of Farmer's Union Insurance Company, where her warm smile and friendly nature made her a beloved part of the team. Her profession was just one aspect of her vibrant personality. A true social butterfly, she enjoyed connecting with friends and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Judy’s zest for life was seen in her passion for bingo; her weapon was a bingo dabber, and she often emerged victorious, even clinching a win the day before her passing. Her love for reading was evident, as she was rarely seen without a book in hand, diving into stories that ignited her imagination and offered her endless adventures.

Her culinary talents were equally renowned in her family and circle of friends. Judy was particularly famous for her delightful cooking and baking, with her date cookies and Knoephla soup being favorites among those privileged enough to enjoy her creations.

She was a proud mother to her children, Trevor (Katie) Yetterboe of Washburn, ND, and Tammy (Chad) Dahme of Bismarck, ND. Judy's legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren: Lexi, Tyler, Kya, Jake, Ebby, Tyler, and Brookelynn, each carrying a piece of her loving spirit. She is also survived by her sister Pam Burchill and brother, Gary (Jean) Anderson, along with her half-sister, Edie (Ron) Cowell.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Duane, and her brother-in-law Robert Burchill. Her absence is felt profoundly, yet the memories she crafted and shared will forever resonate within the hearts of all she touched.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Judy's life. Visitation will take place at Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown on October 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. She will then be laid to rest at the ND Veterans Cemetery in Mandan on October 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Judy R. Yetterboe exemplified kindness, generosity, and warmth. Her spirit remains alive in the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love felt by all. She will be missed dearly, yet forever remembered.
