Jeffery Wayne Scheer, 64, Jamestown, ND died peacefully in his sleep September 25, 2023.

Jeff was born February 5, 1959 at New Rockford, ND, the son of Ken and Alice (Weisenberger) Scheer. He attended school in New Rockford through 6th grade when they moved to Jamestown. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1978. In 1981 he worked for the Jamestown Public School system as a janitor.

He met Theresa Abbott in 1982, and were married in 1983 at Jamestown. They made their home in Jamestown, where he continued to work at the school for almost 30 years. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his wife Theresa, Jamestown, ND; 2 daughters, Lisa Marie Scheer, and Jessica Lynn Jaster, both of Jamestown, ND; 2 granddaughters, Austyenna and Maggie; 1 brother, Greg Scheer, ID; and 1 step brother, Jerry Schnell, Mandan, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Alice Schnell and many aunts and uncles.

I got to know Jeff back in the 80's through the school system. I knew him to be a very kind man, who always had an easy smile for anyone who needed it. Rest easy, Jeff. My condolences to his family.

Jeff was always so nice and willing to help you. My sympathy to Theresa, Lisa,Jessica & family. Cherish all the wonderful memories. I know life wasn’t always easy for Jeff but he kept pushing through with a smile.
