Obituary
Jeanette E. Schlenker, 83, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday evening January 30, 2013 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.
Jeanette Bakken was born September 2, 1929 at Drake, ND, the daughter of Casper C. Bakken and Sadeth (Hannenberg) Bakken. She received her education at the Drake public school and graduated from Minot High School.
She and Jack Schlenker were married December 27, 1949 in Minot, ND. They made their home in Jamestown, ND. She worked at Farmers Union, the Human Service Center and was also a stay at home mom. Following the death of her husband in 2005, she continued to reside in Jamestown.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND. She was also on the CCD Board and was a CCD teacher. She also co-chaired 2 bazaars with Loraine Kauphusman.
She enjoyed playing Bridge and spending time at the lake with her family.
She is survived by 1 son, Jon (Peg) Schlenker, Spiritwood Lake, ND; 1 daughter, Jan (Gary) Haut; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Gary) Schmidt; Jill Schlenker, all of Jamestown, ND; Michael Opp, Fargo, ND; 2 great grandchildren; Corinne and Elise, both of Jamestown, ND and a special friend, Jim Harty, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral Service - 10:30 AM Monday February 4, 2013 at the Haut Funeral chapel in Jamestown, ND, with Fr. Al Bitz, officiating.
Interment -Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND.
